Chronic Pain
Chronic Pain Treatment
Recovering from surgery, physical trauma and injury or a painful health condition, can be very debilitating. Management of symptoms and pain relief are essential for your quality of life.
At Lifespan Psychology, we offer specialised support for people living with chronic pain, treating it through a holistic lens and working alongside your pain management, case management, physiotherapist or trusted rehabilitation teams.
We offer a range of therapies that are backed by evidence that really help relieve people of their pain symptoms.
We know that taking on too much, burnout, caring for others or working too hard can exacerbate your pain. Some of our coping responses may be shaped by childhood or early traumatic experiences, and uncovering roots of these can improve how we cope with pain, and our perception of pain day-to-day.
Remember our “bodies keep the score” of what we do. We need to give our bodies time to heal and recover. Cherish and reflect on pain free moments – we can plant seeds to help these grow.
