Anxiety Treatment

We’ve all been there when we feel a surge of panic, our heart races and we feel slightly faint at the thought of something scary or threatening.

Surprisingly, some anxiety is healthy and actually serves a function. If we were being chased by a dog or had an important presentation to prepare for, some anxiety is essential to keep us safe or help us pay attention to what’s important to deliver for that meeting.

It might be time to speak to someone about your anxiety levels if they become unmanageable, cause significant distress or stops you from living a fulfilling and meaningful life. You may also notice that your worries or fears are not productive or based on the truth. At times our anxieties trick us into thinking of the worst case scenario, of thinking people hate us or we’re a complete failure. Very often these anxious, negative thoughts are not true and this is where talking therapy can be incredibly helpful.
