I am an undergraduate Psychology student at Anglia Ruskin University, with a particular interest in clinical psychology and how psychological and physical health can influence one another. I’m especially interested in working with children, young people and families, and understanding how psychology can be used to support people in different circumstances.

My previous experience working with children and young people through volunteering and mentoring, including supporting children with additional needs, has helped me develop my confidence, empathy and interpersonal skills. I’ve also gained experience in retail and education, which has taught me the importance of communication, teamwork and adapting to different people and situations.

As part of my placement at Lifespan Psychology, I’m involved in research and audit work that supports the clinic and contributes to the ongoing development of its services. Through this work, I hope to contribute to improving the quality of services and support provided to clients, children and families, while developing my knowledge, skills, and confidence through working alongside the team.

In the future, I hope to pursue a career in clinical psychology, particularly working with children, young people and families.
