International students, residents and families in Ukraine have been caught up in the horror of this war, and many have faced racism and discrimination when trying to escape. The Coalition to Support Black People in Ukraine has launched a crowdfunding campaign:
Since 1881, the Red Cross has done incredible work supporting those whose lives have been shattered by conflict, disaster and poverty. The ICRC is responding to urgent humanitarian needs, and aims to help more than 3 million people access clean water and improve living conditions for those whose homes have been damaged or destroyed.
The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis, pooling resources and working together to coordinate the UK public's response. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.
