A simple solution to world hunger
Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
The charity now feeds more than 2.4 million children every school day and it costs just £19.15 / €22.00 to feed a child for a year.
It’s heartbreaking that 58 million of the world’s hungriest children do not attend school. In order to survive they have to work or beg. Even if they do make it to the classroom, being hungry greatly impacts their ability to learn.
