Emergency Shelter

For people in the Caribbean whose homes have been destroyed by Hurricane Beryl

 

In June-July 2024, Hurricane Beryl left a trail of devastation across the Caribbean.


Many people whose homes were damaged or destroyed have been living outside, in tents or in crowded places such as schools. Timber is hard to come by, and it could take years for some people to rebuild.


UK charity ShelterBox has partnered with Rotary to provide emergency shelter to thousands of people uprooted from their homes in Carriacou and Petite Martinique, providing tents and essential items like mosquito nets, solar lights, and cooking sets.
