Client Experience

At Lifespan Psychology - The Diverse Practice, we value quality over quantity. The bottom line is that we believe every client should have a high-quality therapeutic experience, i.e. one that has been good or useful and, ideally, personally tailored to them, taking into account their family background, race, religion and culture.

I know from personal and professional experience that going to therapy can be very hard, and draining. It doesn’t always feel good, or feel right… and sometimes it’s just not the right time to open up.

It takes so much time to research a counsellor/psychologist who you feel is going to be the right fit for you, your loved one or your child.

At the point of making that enquiry, you are facing your own vulnerability and needs head-on, seeking help to see if you can piece back the bits of your life that don’t make sense, cause pain or have left you traumatised.

Some people even wonder if they are beyond help, if they have accessed some sort of support before and it has not lived up to expectations.

Or, perhaps, with up to a 2-year waiting list for children to be treated for their mental health on the NHS, you’ve called 50 counsellors, therapists and psychologists - and none have availability or can help. (Fifty is the gut-wrenching number I am hearing lots of parents say at the point of contacting us).

For this reason, it gives me great pleasure to introduce a new member of our team: Claudia Adamson, who will be stepping into the new role of Client Experience Co-ordinator.

Claudia will help us to ensure a seamless experience at LifeSpan Psychology, streamlining our clients’ journey from enquiry to end of therapy, incorporating feedback at every stage, ensuring outcome measures are collected and supporting our team of Associates to provide a high-quality service.

Contact us here to find out more about how we can help you, or your loved ones, find the tailor-made psychological support you need.
